6/28, 6/29 - Sandy River (Cherryville) - 16 year old male missing in river

A 16 year old male was swept into the current while attempting to cross the Sandy near the Marmot area. A PNW team was sent to search the North side of the river near where the boy crossed in hopes he made it to shore and was wandering in the woods. Nothing was found and we were recalled after our search area was covered.  

The next day another PNW team was assigned to search the riverbank in the daylight. Water levels were high with cloudy, swift current. No trace of the boy was found...

Many resources (helo, swift water teams, ground teams, dog teams) were used on this mission with no result.
