During the General meeting on August 11th, PNW recieved a callout for a missing alzhiemer's patient in Milwaukie.  In the process of closing the meeting and gathering more information, PNW was called off.  The patient was found and the meeting continued as normal.

     Late Monday evening it was determined that two young women were overdue on a horseback trip on the Zig Zag trail.  Cellphone contact with the subjects determined the approximate location of the subjects and their horses on a steep and treacherous section of the trail.  13 PNW members initally responded.  Two teams went into the field, with one heading up the Burnt Lake trail, and the other heading up the Paradise Park trail from Kiwanis camp road.  Transportation and communications were once again provided by the fine folks of Mountain Wave.&nbsp

Around midnight PNW was activated for three missing teenage boys who had left Gone Creek campsite for a 1/2 hour bike ride at 8:30 pm.

Arriving at Timothy Lake at 0200, 10 PNW folks formed 4 search teams and shortly entered the field.  The Mountain bike team was deployed first into the field and redeployed to a new trail later as more information became available.  Two ground teams covered opposite ends of the Timothy Lake trail, while the fourth team manned a listening post at the Oak Fork boat ramp. 

A missing male on the South side of Trillium Lake was able to call 911 and report himself missing. The subject was found by a USFS employee who happened to be in the area.

We were called by Wasco county to help find a missing mushroom picker. The subject was found before we deployed. That would have been a long drive !  Mission cancelled.

Along with Portland Mountain Rescue, we were dispatched to find two missing males (15 and 16) that had gone out of bounds at Timberline. PMR skied in from the top and we started three different assignments from lower elevations heading up. PMR found tracks and eventually skis that belonged to the subjects. After a long night of hiking, a PNW team eventually located the subjects not far from civilization.

We were called to retrieve a deceased male from the banks of the Sandy River.  After a short packout, the subject was delivered to the medical examiner.  Good work to all present !

Subjects were able to call 911 to report themselves missing..  Mtn Wave was able to triangulate a rough position using cell phone pings and a canine team located the subjects soon after our very late call to the scene. Mission cancelled.

We were called to assist in a ground search for a missing teenage girl. Subject was located in TACOMA (????) before our arrival on scene.. Mission cancelled.

Subjust was found to have been under the influence of alcohol and got disoriented (duh). Located by ski patrol. Mission cancelled.
